GlobalCollect and General Atlantic:  Europe's Leading Payment Service

When GA invested in GlobalCollect, an independent Payment Service Provider, in 2007, the company had developed a leading position in Europe as a provider of major payment methods for hundreds of merchants and banks in over 70 countries. 

Since the investment, GA worked closely with the management team to continue to build and scale the company.  With a focus on both m&a and organic growth, GA helped with customer acquisition, sales strategy, new product/service development, technology, organizational design, global expansion (offices in Singapore and Buenos Aires) and corporate governance.

Length of investment:  July 2007 to May 2010.
