NYSE Euronext and General Atlantic:  Creating a Global Exchange

GA saw the beginning of the electronic revolution of exchanges when it invested in Archipelago Exchange in November 2003 to help position and prepare it for an IPO.

The NYSE merger with Arca in March 2006  transformed the NYSE Group into a public  company, and its merger with Euronext in April 2007 created the largest and most liquid equity market in the world in NYSE Euronext. With continued innovation, acquisitions and growth, NYSE Euronext remains at the forefront of global financial markets.
