WuXi AppTec and General Atlantic:  Breaking New Ground

When GA's Hong Kong team first met WuXi AppTec's executives, the company had established itself as the clear leader in China's emerging drug discovery outsourcing market.

GA invested pre-IPO in February of 2007, helping WuXi to capture an increasing share of the global market.  In August of the same year, WuXi went public on the New York Stock Exchange, achieving a market cap of $1 billion.  GA continues to assist this successful company as it manages its rapid growth.
