Torex Assists Republic in Company Expansion and Customer Service

Torex Retail POS Rolled Out Across All of Republic's Stores

DUNSTABLE--Torex Retail Holdings Limited (TorexTM), the leading global provider of innovative, integrated technology solutions to the extended retail marketplace, today announces that leading multi-brand fashion retailer, Republic, has implemented TorexTM Retail POS across its 105 stores, including cross border in Belfast and a new store in the Republic of Ireland. The Torex solution provides a strong foundation for company growth and increased customer service efficiency.

Republic chose Torex Retail POS as it had outgrown its existing, labour intensive legacy POS solution and needed a long-term technology partner with a history of proven success within the retail industry.

The roll-out of the Torex solution commenced in March 2010, with Torex and Republic working together to complete 16 stores per week. Republic now benefit from automated business processes that increase operational efficiencies and reduce administration both in store and at HQ, through real-time reporting, cash management and stock management. Customers are already benefiting from quicker service at the till with a faster EFT solution that delivers authorisation in a split second. The Torex platform will also enable Republic to realise its national and international expansion plans, and extend the solution beyond POS to include multi channel functionality such as click and collect, and instore customer ordering from a web fulfilment system.
