CHANTILLY--TASC, Inc. has named Scott Heefner vice president of Financial and Business Analytics. The group provides a broad portfolio of analytical decision-support services, blended with TASC's systems engineering and integration capabilities, which help national security and other federal government customers make informed programmatic and budgetary decisions.

"Because of increasing budget pressures, our federal customers are forced to make tough decisions that could have irreversible consequences for our national security and public safety systems," says Pamela Drew, senior vice president of Strategic Capabilities and Technology at TASC. "Scott will lead our team to ensure that government decision makers have good access to the TASC tools that will help them both achieve their mission and reach their affordability goals."

For more than a decade, Heefner has helped clients in the commercial, industrial and government sectors solve problems associated with the care, protection and economic feasibility of critical infrastructure assets. He has led assignments in areas such as life-cycle cost analysis, risk management and mitigation and strategic planning.

"Given the technical and management complexities of today's government programs, fully understanding the financial impact of critical decisions on mission effectiveness has never been more important than it is now," says Heefner. "TASC, with its thorough integration of systems engineering and financial analysis, is uniquely able to help its customers work through these complexities."

Heefner's international career in engineering, management consulting, and business development spans more than 30 years. He joins TASC from Project Time & Cost, Inc., where he was vice president of Federal Programs. Previously he was a principal at Booz Allen Hamilton. Heefner earned a BCE in civil engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.S. in engineering at Utah State University.
