Tariq Ahmed is a Vice President at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he focuses on investments in the Financial Services, Business Services & Technology, and Media & Consumer sectors. He joined General Atlantic’s Mumbai office in 2008.

Prior to joining General Atlantic, Tariq was with Blue River Capital, a Mumbai-based private equity firm, focusing on investments in the telecom, media, textile and general manufacturing sectors. Prior to that, Tariq worked for AEA Investors in their New York office focusing on investments in the middle market industrial, manufacturing and business services sectors. Prior to AEA, he was in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley in New York where he focused on the media and telecommunications sectors.

Tariq received a BBA in Finance and Accounting, High Distinction, from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan in 2001.
