Ms. Fernandez is Chief Information Officer and head of Research/Knowledge Services at General Atlantic (GA). She was a founding member of the Research group in 1996, and held positions of increasing responsibility before moving to lead the program in 2001. Ms. Fernandez also originated GA's outsourced research and knowledge services practices, and is responsible for the continuing development of related engagements and internal applications. She created the GA market analysis program, which has been successful at fostering internal knowledge of both growth industries and the investment landscape. She also oversees GA's global research and information vendor relationships.

Prior to joining General Atlantic, Ms. Fernandez spent a year in Network research at SoundView Financial Group. Early in her career, she worked for several years in molecular cancer research. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine, a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Liberal Studies, and a minor in Classical Studies from Villanova University. Ms. Fernandez is a member of the Connecticut Advisory Council of the Trust for Public Land. She is also a Board Member and former President of Stamford Land Conservation Trust, an open space preservation group.
