Mario Bethlem is a Special Advisor to General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he focuses on investments in the region of Latin America.

Mr. Bethlem brings deep expertise and experience to GA’s Latin American investment opportunities. He is the former CEO of IBM-Brazil, where he worked for 35 years in several executive roles. As well, he has served as an Advisory Board Member of ABVCAP- The Private Equity and Venture Captial Brazilian Association, as Chairman of the Board of Propay, and as a Board Member of Automatos, Inc.

He holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from ITA – Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica.
