Alexandre Bourgeois is a Special Advisor at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he focuses on investments in the region of Latin America.

Mr. Bourgeois started his professional carreer in Zug, Switzerland working for an equity options and futures market maker for 2 years (Qt-Optec). He left Switzerland for New York where he worked for Bear Stearns, starting as a derivatives operative and then moving to the proprietary Emerging Markets desk in the Equities department. He traded all major countries in Latin America (Latam) including Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and Brazil. More recently, he joined Société Générale in London where he headed the proprietary desk for Latam for almost 2 years. In São Paulo, Brazil, he founded Lutèce Investimentos, a Brazilian hedge fund which mostly trades Brazilian equities with a short term strategy.

Mr. Bourgeois studied mathematics at the University of Geneva in Geneva, Switzerland.
