T.R. Newcomb is a Vice President at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he focuses on investments in the Business Services & Technology sector out of the New York office. He first joined General Atlantic during the summer of 2007, working on investments in the Media & Consumer sector, including General Atlantic's investment in MercadoLibre.  Most recently, he helped lead General Atlantic's investment in Mu Sigma, a provider of analytics and decision support services to large global enterprises.

Prior to joining General Atlantic, T.R. spent five years with Allen & Company, a boutique investment bank serving the media and technology sectors. Prior to Allen & Company, T.R. was an analyst at Euclid SR, a New York-based venture firm focused on early-stage technology investing.

T.R. holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. in political science from Harvard University, where graduated with honors in 2001.  He is also involved with a number of non-profit organizations in the New York community, including Echoing Green and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, where he serves on the board of advisors.
