Jeffrey Sisson is a Special Advisor for General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm. In this role, Mr. Sisson supports GA's Resources Group with focus on human capital, helping portfolio companies achieve their growth trajectories by building their organizations and expanding their management teams.

Mr. Sisson was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at IHS, Inc. in January 2008. Previously, beginning in January 2005, he was Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources of IHS. In this role, Jeff oversees the company's global human resources functions, including compensation and benefits, leadership development, staffing, technology, travel, security and the global real estate portfolio. He is a member of the IHS Leadership Team. Jeff has a broad base of global experience and a strong track record of rapidly understanding the critical aspects of a business and making an immediate impact on performance and profitability. He builds long-term success with his teams by developing, communicating and effectively implementing the vision, strategy and operational plans that lead to sustainable competitive advantage in diverse markets.  A 25-year human resources veteran, Jeff has extensive experience in a broad cross-section of leading industries including energy, manufacturing, advanced technologies and business information services, where he develops best practices for global teams that translate into improved shareholder and colleague success and customer satisfaction. Jeff received his MLIR and his B.A. from Michigan State University.
