Alex Genin is a Special Advisor at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he provides advice, guidance and active support to the GA's Russia/CIS countries prospective activities and existing portfolio companies.

Mr. Genin most recently served as Senior Vice President and CEO of Access Industries, Inc. in CIS, based in Moscow, Russia and was responsible for Access's investments in Russia and CIS countries.  Prior to that, he served as Access's CFO and Controller since 2000.  During this time, Mr. Genin was also a member of the Board of Directors of various companies.

Before joining Access Industries, Mr. Genin served in a variety positions at Cargill, Inc., McKinsey & Company, Inc. and PaineWebber Inc. in New York, London and Moscow.

Mr. Genin completed Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts.
