Martín Escobari is a Managing Director at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he has worked since 2012. He heads GA's São Paulo office and its investment activity in Latin America.

Mr. Escobari was previously a managing director with Advent International, which he joined as an operating partner in 2007. Mr. Escobari led Advent's successful investment in Cetip, Latin America's largest central depository of private securities and OTC derivatives. Previously, Mr. Escobari was co-founder of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer, where he was CFO and VP of Corporate Development.

Mr. Escobari graduated with high honors from Harvard College and joined the Boston Consulting Group as an associate. He then received his MBA from the Harvard Business School graduating as a Baker Scholar.

Mr. Escobari is active with Endeavor Brasil, where he mentors young entrepreneurs and co-authored the book "Sucesso Made in Brazil" with Prof. Don Sull from the London Business School.
