Sunish Sharma is a Managing Director at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm. He works out of the Mumbai office and focuses on opportunities in India and the Asia-Pacific region. Sunish has extensive experience in the area of IT/BPO, Infrastructure and Healthcare, and focuses his efforts within GA on the firm's Business Services & Technology, Healthcare, and Energy & Resources sectors. In addition to identifying potential investment opportunities, Sunish has been working closely with a number of General Atlantic Indian and global portfolio companies. He was a director at Sharekhan, and currently is a director on the Hexaware board, and an alternate director on the Infotech Enterprises board.

Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2004, Sunish worked at McKinsey & Company Inc. for six and a half years. He spent the majority of his time in their Telecom, IT and BPO group serving several Indian and MNC clients on multiple engagements and M&A transactions. Sunish has co-authored the first 2 NASSCOM-McKinsey reports on the IT and BPO sector.

Sunish is a gold medalist from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta where he did his MBA after graduating with honors from Delhi University. Sunish also holds a cost accounting degree.
