Raul R. Rai is a Managing Director at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm. Mr. Rai has a combination of experience in investment banking and operating roles working with growth companies in the technology, telecommunications and media industries.

Mr. Rai joined General Atlantic in 2005 from UBS, where he was a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Software Investment Banking. From 1996 to 2000, he was with Goldman Sachs in New York and London, ultimately as Vice President in the Communications, Media & Technology group. From 2000 to 2002, he was Corporate Strategy and Planning Director of Vizzavi Ltd., a London-based joint venture between Vodafone and Vivendi.

Mr. Rai received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1996, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar, and he graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Computer Science and Economics from Boston University in 1991.
