Tanzeen Syed is a Vice President at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, where he focuses on investments in the Energy & Resources sector. Since joining General Atlantic in 2006, Mr. Syed has also been active in the Business Services and Internet & Technology sectors, including the firm's investments in MercadoLibre and Groupalia. Most recently, Mr. Syed helped lead and manage General Atlantic's investment in Gavilon.

Prior to joining General Atlantic, Mr. Syed worked at JPMorgan in its Investment Banking Group based in San Francisco. While with JPMorgan, he worked with clients in the technology, media and telecom industries.

Mr. Syed graduated cum laude from Macalester College, where he received a BA with a double-major in Economics and History.
