John D. Bernstein is a Managing Director at General Atlantic. He is located in General Atlantic's London office, where he is responsible for investments in the broader European market. He is a member of the Firm's Investment Committee, and serves on the board of FNZ and Studio Moderna.

Mr. Bernstein has been an active investor in the private equity industry in Europe since 1995. Prior to joining General Atlantic, he served as a partner at Advent International, where he led the European telecoms and technology investment practice.

Mr. Bernstein holds an M.A. in economics and law from Downing College, Cambridge University, and qualified as a barrister.
