Alan Ghelberg joined General Atlantic in 2015 and focuses on investments in the Internet and Technology sector.
Prior to joining General Atlantic, Alan was with Berkshire Partners in Boston, where he focused on investments in the telecommunications, business services, and consumer sectors.
He served as a board director and board observer for a number of companies and organizations including Torres Unidas, Skillsoft, and Portillo’s. Prior to joining Berkshire in 2005, Alan worked at Avery Weigh-Tronix, a Berkshire portfolio company. He began his career at Bain & Company in Boston.
Alan earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he graduated with highest distinction and was a Baker Scholar. He also earned a B.S. from Yale University in Economics and Electrical Engineering, where he graduated magna cum laude.
He serves on the board of trustees for College Summit.
