Brett Rochkind leads General Atlantic's Palo Alto office and is co-head of the firm’s Internet & Technology sector. Since joining the firm in 2002, Brett has worked in GA’s New York, Hong Kong and Palo Alto offices. He works closely with many of GA's global portfolio companies in the software, Internet, information and services sectors including Airbnb, Altair, Appirio, Box, IHS, SSA Global and Uber in the United States, Decolar, Linx and MercadoLibre in Brazil and Latin America. Brett serves on the board of Appirio, Inc., and is a board observer for AppDynamics, and Box Inc.
Prior to moving to Silicon Valley, Brett worked in GA's Hong Kong office, where he focused on opportunities in China and the Asia-Pacific region including the firm's investments in Alibaba Group, Lenovo, Meituan, Renren and Soufun.
Prior to joining General Atlantic, Brett was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley & Co. in its Mergers & Acquisitions department in New York and Menlo Park, and worked to establish Morgan Stanley's Israel office based in Tel Aviv. Brett graduated with honors and as a University Scholar from the Stern School of Business at New York University and earned his M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Brett is a Trustee and a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of New York University, and is a member of Tipping Point’s Leadership Council.
