Tom Davis focuses on investments in the Internet & Technology and Financial Services sectors. He is based out of General Atlantic’s Palo Alto office.
Tom first joined General Atlantic in 2008, where he was an associate in both the New York and Palo Alto offices. During this time, Tom was closely involved with General Atlantic’s investment in First Republic Bank. From 2011 to 2013, Tom completed his M.B.A. at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. During business school he worked for the San Francisco 49ers on a range of strategic projects, including the successful bid by the San Francisco Bay Area and the 49ers to host the 50th Super Bowl in 2016.
Prior to joining General Atlantic, Tom was an investment banking analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Financial Institutions Group based in New York, and also spent time in their Financial Sponsors Group based in San Francisco.
Tom serves on The Board of Trustees of The San Francisco Day School and is on the Bay Area Regional Advisory Board of The Painted Turtle Camp.
Tom holds an M.B.A. from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College.
