12.08.09
Print ArticleLONDON--Intec Telecom Systems has announced that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC), has named Intec as a recipient of the 2009 INTERNET TELEPHONY BSS/OSS Excellence Award presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. The award acknowledges the exceptional cost and resource savings provided by the latest version (v6) of Intec's market-leading Inter-mediatE software as evidenced by customer testimonials.
In one case, deploying Intec's Inter-mediatE and leveraging its inherent mediation functionality, as opposed to just simple collection, cost approximately only 10 per cent of the alternative cost to modify and patch the legacy processing system that was only even able to support current volumes with no headroom for growth. With Intec Inter-mediatE at the front-end of its operational business processes, communications service providers can vastly improve and streamline processing, and deliver the required performance and cost-effective scale to support even the most aggressive plans for future growth.
"For recognition of their contributions to the growth and innovation displayed in the market, we are very pleased to present Intec with a 2009 INTERNET TELEPHONY BSS/OSS Excellence Award. Intec's Inter-mediatE has made an incredible contribution to BSS and OSS and has delivered some great solutions for its customers," commented Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC.
"For Intec customers and prospects alike, an upgrade to Inter-mediatE v6 can be truly transformational in terms of how operational systems perform," added Ian Watterson, VP of Intec Americas. "As well as offering future-proof scalability, Inter-mediatE v6 enables service providers to adopt a greener IT strategy as the software performs just as well on commodity ie blade technology hardware, as it does on the existing servers. This significantly reduces overheads that generate bottom line savings, while increasing throughput and overall processing power."
Intec's Inter-mediatE is used by more than 200 telecommunications companies worldwide to automatically collect, process and distribute a total of 14 billion network transactions daily, equating to $255 billion revenue each year. For more information please go to www.intecbilling.com.
