Les Laboratoires Shermont Renews Contract in Algeria

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO--Les Laboratoires Shermont Inc., a Trow Global company, is pleased to announce that it has just renewed its external quality control contract with COJAAL, a Japanese consortium, for the construction of the eastern portion of the Trans-Algerian Highway between Bordj Bou Arreridj and the Tunisian border, which represents over 400 km of roadway and engineering structures. The contract, which is valued at $23 million, will span two years. This is the largest contract ever obtained by the firm.

Since 2008, Les Laboratoires Shermont has played a key role in this major highway construction project in Algeria. The external control mandate, in support of internal controls, ensures that the work completed by COJAAL complies with the agreement between the consortium and the Algerian government.

The professionals involved in the project thus far will remain based in Algeria. However, due to the sheer magnitude of the project, the firm expects to hire additional resources.
