Since our inception in 1980, we have invested in over
160 companies and have
current holdings in over 50 companies, of which nearly one-half are based outside
the United States. To date, we have invested over $7 billion.
GA® is a stage-independent investor that invests along the complete continuum
of the financial life cycle, from new businesses to corporate carve-outs, and
from private to public companies. We seek to invest in 8–12 new
companies each year, with investments generally ranging
from $50 million to $500 million in equity for growth. We make a limited
number of new investments each year in order to dedicate the time and resources
we believe are necessary to work with and build successful
companies.
