Gabriel Caillaux Named to Financial News’ second-annual list of the ‘50 Most Influential People in European Private Equity’

Gabriel Caillaux, Co-President, Managing Director and Head of EMEA, based in General Atlantic’s London office, was named in Financial News’ annual list of ‘Europe’s 50 Most Influential in Private Equity’ for the second year in a row since its inception. Named Head of EMEA in 2017 and Co-President in 2019, Gabe is a member of the firm’s Management and Investment Committees and oversees a portfolio of 21 companies with a total of $3.8bn invested in the region. He is also credited with expanding the firm’s focus into Africa and the Middle East.

Financial News and Private Equity News’ editorial teams spent several months canvassing the market and inviting submissions before drawing up a long list of the top dealmakers, investors, business leaders and advisors shaping the European market. The final 50 individuals named were selected for their leadership and firepower within their firm and the wider market. Their track record, particularly over the last 12 months, was also considered, as was their ability to influence the regional market in the year ahead.
