Gabriel CaillauxCo-President and Head of EMEA

Gabriel Caillaux is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in EMEA. He is also a member of the firm’s Management, Investment and Portfolio Committees. Since joining the firm in 2004, Gabriel has helped expand the firm’s investment focus across the greater European region to include Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He focuses on investments in the Financial Services and Technology sectors. Before joining General Atlantic, Gabriel worked in the telecoms, media & technology division at Merrill Lynch in London and New York.

Chris CaulkinHead of Technology for EMEA

Chris Caulkin is a Managing Director and Head of Technology for EMEA focusing on General Atlantic’s investments in the Technology sector. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2011, Chris was an Analyst and Associate at Warburg Pincus in London for four years where he concentrated on investments in the media, technology, and business services sectors. Before Warburg Pincus, Chris was an Associate at The Boston Consulting Group in London where he worked on a range of media, technology, and financial services projects.

Roni ElchahalHead of EMEA Capital Partnering

Roni Elchahal is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and leads the firm’s capital partnering efforts in EMEA. Roni joined General Atlantic in 2007, focusing on investments in the firm’s Technology sector. He has also worked at CI Capital Partners where he helped source and execute middle market investments across various sectors, and at The Boston Consulting Group where he worked on strategic and operational projects across a variety of industries.

Martín EscobariCo-President, Head of Latin America, and Investment Committee Chair

Martín Escobari is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in Latin America. Martín is Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and also serves on the Management and Portfolio Committees.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Martín was a Managing Director at Advent International where he focused on the financial services sector. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CFO of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer that went public on the Bovespa and was sold to Lojas Americanas in 2006. Martín started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Bill FordChairman and Chief Executive Officer

Bill Ford is General Atlantic’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, with three decades of experience investing in and helping build leading growth companies, including IHS Markit, e*Trade, Priceline, and First Republic Bank. Bill joined General Atlantic in 1991 and became CEO in 2007. He serves as Chairman of the firm’s Management Committee and is a member of the Investment, Portfolio, and Operating Committees. Under Bill’s leadership, General Atlantic has expanded its global presence, increased its capital base, and deepened its capabilities to identify and partner with high-potential growth companies across multiple business sectors and geographies.

Cornelia GomezGlobal Head of ESG

Cornelia Gomez is an Operating Principal at General Atlantic and the firm’s Global Head of ESG. In this role, she oversees the firm’s strategy to advance environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts for its global operations and across its portfolio. Before joining General Atlantic in 2022, Cornelia was Head of ESG and Sustainability at PAI Partners, and she also served as the Global Coordinator for the International Climate Initiative, an industry group that is sponsored by the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment. Previously, Cornelia led the Social Compliance unit at Casino Group.

Rhea HamiltonManaging Director, BeyondNetZero

Rhea Hamilton is a Managing Director on the BeyondNetZero team. Hamilton brings nearly two decades of investing experience focused on climate and sustainability. Before joining BeyondNetZero, she was a Managing Director at OGCI Climate Investments, where she led the venture and growth equity investments globally. Prior to this, Hamilton headed private equity transactions focused on sustainable technology and clean energy, both for a large European family office as well as for a pioneer in sustainable investing, RobecoSAM.

Pablo IslaSenior Advisor, Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Inditex Group

Pablo Isla Alvarez de Tejera is a Global Senior Advisor at General Atlantic and provides strategic support and counsel to the firm’s Consumer and Technology investment teams and portfolio companies. Before joining General Atlantic in 2022, Pablo was Executive Chairman at Inditex Group, one of the world’s largest fashion retailers comprising brands including Zara, Massimo Dutti and Bershka. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2011, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2011 to 2019, and after that, as Executive Chairman until March 31, 2022.

Melis KahyaHead of Consumer for EMEA

Melis Kahya Akar is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and leads the firm’s Consumer investments across EMEA, in addition to focusing on investments in Turkey. Before joining General Atlantic in New York in 2015, Melis was a Vice President at TSG Consumer Partners where she focused on investments in the Retail and Consumer sectors. Previously, she was an Analyst in the Investment Banking division at J.P. Morgan where she concentrated on the consumer and retail sectors.

Anton LevyCo-President and Global Head of Technology

Anton Levy is Co-President, Managing Director and Global Head of General Atlantic’s Technology sector. Anton also serves on the firm’s Management, Investment and Portfolio Committees. Anton has led General Atlantic’s investments in leading technology companies such as Alibaba, CrowdStrike, Facebook, Slack and Snapchat and co-led investments in Adyen and Bytedance. Anton has been named to the Forbes Midas List of top investors each year from 2014 to 2022. Before joining General Atlantic in 1998, Anton was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley where he focused on the technology sector.

Sandeep NaikHead of India & Southeast Asia

Sandeep Naik is a Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in India & Southeast Asia. He is also a member of the firm’s Management and Portfolio Committees. Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Sandeep served as a Partner and Co-Head of India for Apax, leading investments in the healthcare, financial and business services and retail and consumer sectors. Earlier in his career, he was Global Marketing Manager at Medtronic Inc., a scientist at Mayo Clinic, and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is also the Co-Founder of InfraScan Inc., a medical device business focused on detecting bleeding inside the brain using a handheld device. Sandeep was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and has served on the Global Agenda Council of New Order of Economic Thinking.

Joern NikolayHead of DACH

Joern Nikolay is a Managing Director and leads General Atlantic’s business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as part of the EMEA team. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2008, Joern was an Associate at TA Associates in London. Before that, he was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company in Düsseldorf, and an Analyst at Morgan Stanley in Frankfurt.

Dr. Michael SpenceSenior Advisor, Chairman of the GA Global Growth Institute

Dr. Michael Spence is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic and Chairman of the GA Global Growth Institute. His areas of focus include economic growth and policy in emerging markets, the influence of leadership on economic growth, and digitally enabled growth patterns.

Michael is a Nobel Laureate and serves as a co-chair with Joseph Stiglitz on the Commission on Global Economic Transformation; is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations; a Co-Chair of the Advisory Board of the Asia Global Institute in Hong Kong; and is a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He is the author of The Next Convergence: The Future of Economic Growth in a Multispeed World.

From 2006 to 2010, Michael was the Chairman of The Commission on Growth and Development, an independent international body that analyzed opportunities for global economic growth, with a special focus on emerging economies. Michael is a Rhodes Scholar, and was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2001 for his contributions to the analysis of markets with informational gaps and asymmetries, and the dynamics of information flow. Previously, Michael taught at Harvard University, where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Stanford University, serving as Dean of the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Annette ThomasSenior Advisor, Former CEO of Guardian Media Group

Annette Thomas is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies in the EMEA region. Before joining General Atlantic in 2022, Annette served as Chief Executive of world-leading media, data analytics and education companies including Guardian Media Group and Web of Science Group (part of Clarivate Analytics) and Macmillan. For over two decades, she has overseen numerous digital and data transformation strategies in both business-to-business and business-to-consumer settings, driving growth by pivoting businesses from regional to global, print to digital, advertising to subscription to open business models, and from publishing to data to predictive analytics.

Graves TompkinsGlobal Head of Capital Partnering

Graves Tompkins is a Managing Director and Global Head of Capital Partnering for General Atlantic. He serves on the firm’s Management, Portfolio, and Operating Committees, as well as the Diversity & Inclusion Council. Previously, he was a member of the firm’s Healthcare and Financial Services sector teams.

Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2008, Graves worked in the Merchant Banking division at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on principal investments across a broad range of sectors, and as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. Graves is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, and he was previously a David Rockefeller Fellow through the New York City Partnership.

Eric ZhangHead of China

Eric Zhang is a Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in China and also serves on the firm’s Management Committee. Before joining the firm in 2016, Eric was a Global Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group from 2006 to 2016 where he focused on investments in Asia. Previously, he was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, and prior to that, he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking division at China International Capital Corporation Limited in Beijing.

Charlie ÇetinPresident, Trendyol

Charlie Çetin is the President of Trendyol Group, the largest e-commerce company in Turkey. Trendyol continues to grow and create value through: Trendyol Tech, one of the leading R&D centers; Trendyol Express, the fastest growing delivery network; Dolap, the largest second-hand goods platform; and Trendyol Go, which is the local services arm of Trendyol Group with the goal of delivering anything within 30 minutes.

Charlie is also the Co-Founder and CEO of DOME Group. DOME is a London based, FCA regulated Merchant Bank focused on Emerging Markets with offices in Istanbul and London. DOME was backed by two of Turkey's largest industrial and financial conglomerates, FIBA Group and Dogus Group, as well as Global Holding Group, a Qatar based Investment Group.

Prior to DOME, Charlie was the Country Coverage Officer for Goldman Sachs Turkey, responsible from Investment Banking, Financing, Securities and Asset Management businesses. Charlie was also a member of the Investment Banking Services Committee of Goldman Sachs Europe. Charlie started his career at Salomon Smith Barney in New York, focusing on M&A and acquisition financing within the Industrials sector. Upon relocating to London in 2000, Charlie started focusing and building the Emerging Markets franchise of Citi Group. He had a number of roles at Citi including the Head of Turkish Investment Banking and opening the Istanbul Investment Banking office in 2002.

Frédéric TrinelCo-Founder and Co-CEO, Ecovadis

Frédéric Trinel, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at EcoVadis, is an international entrepreneur and founder of four companies, all active today, operating in the Global Trade, Software, and Human Resources industries. Frédéric’s last venture was Mr. Ted Ltd, where he was the COO, in charge of Technology & Operations. Frédéric holds a degree in International Business from ICAD Business School in Paris.

William ZeqiriFounder and CEO, Fresha

William is the Founder and CEO at Fresha, founded in 2015. Prior to Fresha, William worked at Abu Dhabi Health Services, the UAE’s largest healthcare network, as a Corporate Operations Director, and Cleveland Clinic, as a Project Management Director. William is a serial founder including Practical Templates, a platform for selling project management, architecture and system design templates, Design Modern, an industrial design magazine and e-commerce platform, Wedcard, a loyalty platform to award loyalty points for shopping, and MacroWeb, a web development and hosting company. William was a student at the University of Auckland studying Information Systems.
