STAT, a media company dedicated to reporting on and analyzing stories related to health, medicine and scientific discovery, announced its inaugural STATUS List, which highlights a group of 46 leaders and changemakers in health, medicine and science. Rob Perez, Operating Partner at General Atlantic, was recognized by STAT as one such leader in this inaugural list.

The STATUS List is comprised of exceptional individuals and trailblazers across sectors including biotechnology, diagnostics, education and policy. To inform the months-long selection process, STAT’s editorial team handpicked over 250 standout individuals. Following selection, the reporters and editors turned to an expert panel of judges to assist in narrowing the pool.

The expert panel of judges included healthcare and life science executives and educators. The judges focused on individuals who have supported and bolstered communities during these trying times through programs, tools and opportunities related to health and science. STAT intends to repeat the STATUS List annually.
