June 21, 2022 – General Atlantic, a leading global growth equity firm, announced today that Xiaodong Wang has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. Mr. Wang will provide strategic counsel on General Atlantic’s investments in China while serving as a resource to the firm’s portfolio companies in the region.

Mr. Wang joins General Atlantic after more than a decade at Baidu, the NASDAQ-listed Chinese language internet search provider. Most recently, Mr. Wang served until 2021 as Chief Financial Officer for Baidu’s iQIYI subsidiary, a leading internet video streaming service in China that is listed on the NASDAQ. Prior to that role, he served from 2009 to 2016 as a Vice President for financial planning and analysis. He also previously held positions at General Motors in Shanghai and Dupont China, where he was responsible for Dupont trading.

Mr. Wang graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Tsinghua University and a master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
