Nate Powell is a Managing Director at General Atlantic focused on investments in the GA Credit business. Before joining General Atlantic in 2023, Nate was a Partner at Iron Park Capital (IPC) where he focused on the firm’s public credit investments. He was also a member of IPC’s Public Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining IPC, Nate spent five years at River Birch Capital, where he was both the firm’s Head Trader as well as Co-Head of the performing credit strategy in North America. Before River Birch, Nate was a Director at GLG Partners where he was head of the GLG Ore Hill trading desk, co-manager of its CLO platform, and one of the firm’s senior research analysts. Nate began his career at Ore Hill Partners, a long/short credit hedge fund and CLO manager.
