Paul Stamas is a Managing Director and Global Head of General Atlantic’s Financial Services sector, which includes the firm’s activities in financial technology and payments. He serves on the firm’s Portfolio Committee. Before joining General Atlantic in 2010, Paul was an Associate at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, concentrating on investments in the healthcare services and information & business services sectors. Prior to that, he was an Analyst in the Consumer Retail Group in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs.

Gabriel Caillaux is Global Head of Climate, Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in EMEA. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive, Investment and Portfolio Committees. Since joining the firm in 2004, Gabriel has helped expand the firm’s investment focus across the greater European region to include Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He focuses on investments in the Financial Services and Technology sectors. Before joining General Atlantic, Gabriel worked in the telecoms, media & technology division at Merrill Lynch in London and New York.

Martín Escobari is Head of Global Growth Equity, Co-President, and Managing Director. Martín is Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and also serves on the Portfolio and Executive Committees.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Martín was a Managing Director at Advent International where he focused on the financial services sector. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CFO of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer that went public on the Bovespa and was sold to Lojas Americanas in 2006. Martin started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Sandeep Naik is a Managing Director focused on General Atlantic’s business in India & Southeast Asia. Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Sandeep served as a Partner and Co-Head of India for Apax, leading investments in the healthcare, financial and business services and retail and consumer sectors. Earlier in his career, he was Global Marketing Manager at Medtronic Inc., a scientist at Mayo Clinic, and a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He is also the Co-Founder of InfraScan Inc., a medical device business focused on detecting bleeding inside the brain using a handheld device. Sandeep was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and has served on the Global Agenda Council of New Order of Economic Thinking.

Joern Nikolay is an Advisory Director at General Atlantic. Prior to becoming a Senior Advisor, Joern served as Managing Director and Head of DACH at General Atlantic since 2012, where he led General Atlantic’s business in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as part of the EMEA team. Before joining General Atlantic in 2008, Joern was an Associate at TA Associates in London. Prior to that, he was a Case Team Leader at Bain & Company in Düsseldorf, and an Analyst at Morgan Stanley in Frankfurt.

Shantanu Rastogi is a Managing Director and leads General Atlantic’s business in India. He rejoined General Atlantic in 2013 after working at the firm from 2005 to 2007. Previously, Shantanu was a Principal at Apax Partners, and prior to that, he was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company

Eric Zhang is a Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in China. Before joining the firm in 2016, Eric was a Global Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group from 2006 to 2016 where he focused on investments in Asia. Previously, he was Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse in Hong Kong, and prior to that, he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking division at China International Capital Corporation Limited in Beijing.

Rodrigo Catunda is a Managing Director Co-Head of General Atlantic’s Brazil Office. He also focuses on the firm’s investments across various sectors in Latin America. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2011, Rodrigo was an Investment Banking Associate at J.P. Morgan in São Paulo and New York, focused on Latin America.

Henri de Castries is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies in the EMEA region. Before joining General Atlantic in 2017, Henri served as Chairman and CEO of AXA, spending a total of 27 years at the company. During this time, he oversaw multiple merger and acquisitions transactions including AXA’s acquisition of Group UAP in 1997 and Winterthur Group in 2007. Prior to AXA, he served in the French Treasury Department, during which time he was appointed to oversee foreign exchange markets and balance of payments.

Luis Cervantes is a Managing Director and leads General Atlantic’s Mexico City office, focusing on the firm’s growth investments in Mexico and across Latin America. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2013, Luis was an Associate at Advent International where he concentrated on investments across sectors in Latin America. Previously, he was an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS in the Latin American group based in Mexico City. Luis is a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum, and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. He also formerly served as an Adjunct Professor at Universidad Iberoamericana.

Roger Gao is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Financial Services and Technology sectors in China. Before joining the firm in 2012, Roger was an Analyst in the Investment Banking division at Goldman Sachs based in Hong Kong where he focused on the consumer, retail, and healthcare sectors.

Raph Osnoss is based in New York and focuses on investments in the firm’s Financial Services sector, including financial technology. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2014, Mr. Osnoss was an Associate with Berkshire Partners in Boston. He began his career as an Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs.

Luiz Ribeiro is a Managing Director and Co-Head of General Atlantic’s Brazil Office. He also focuses on the firm’s investment activity in Colombia. Before joining General Atlantic in 2016, Luiz worked as a Director at Advent International where he concentrated on the financial services and healthcare sectors while based in the São Paulo and Bogota offices. During his time at Advent, he served on the boards of a number of investments, and served as Interim CFO of Atmosfera.

Sharad Bhojnagarwala is a Principal at General Atlantic and focuses on the firm’s investments in the India and Southeast Asia regions. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2011, Sharad was an Investment Professional at TVS Capital where he focused on investments in the mid-cap Consumer sector among others. Before that, he worked in technology roles at various companies in Boston, including EMC, Lucent Technologies, Trebia Networks, and ZipDiner.com.

Philipp Thun-Hohenstein is based in New York and focuses on investments in the Financial Services sector. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2017, Philipp worked for Hellman & Friedman as a Private Equity Associate, where he focused primarily on internet, technology and financial services investments. Philipp started his career at Morgan Stanley as an Analyst in the Healthcare group.

Caroline Woodworth is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Financial Services sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2015, Caroline was a Senior Associate at J.C. Flowers & Co. in London where she focused on investments in the financial services sector. Prior to that, Caroline was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions group at Citigroup in New York.

Laura Chen is a Vice President at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Financial Services sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2016, Laura was an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Matthew Dorr is a Principal at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Financial Services sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2019, Matthew was a Vice President at GS Growth, Goldman Sachs’ growth equity investing team, where he concentrated on investments in software and technology companies. Prior to that, Matthew worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at William Blair.

Lisa Latrèche is a Vice President at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Financial Services sector. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2019, Lisa was an M&A analyst in the Generalist and Financial Institutions teams at Evercore in London.

James Whittington is a Vice President at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the Financial Services sector. Before joining General Atlantic in 2021, James was an Investment Director at CBPE Capital in London where he focused on investments in the financial services and business services sectors. Prior to that, he worked for BofAML as an Investment Banking Associate and for KPMG as an Associate.

David Mangum is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic; he brings significant expertise in global financial technology, payments solutions and software. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2019, David was President and Chief Operating Officer of Global Payments Inc. (GPN). David was instrumental in leading the transformation of Global Payments from a payment processor to a worldwide provider of technology services and software. Prior to that, David was GPN’s Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. David also previously held executive leadership roles at Fiserv, Inc. and CheckFree Corporation.

Pierre de Weck is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s capital partnering efforts, investment teams, and portfolio companies. From 2002 to 2012, Pierre was Global Head of Private Wealth Management and a Group Executive Committee member at Deutsche Bank AG in London. Previously, he spent nearly 20 years with UBS AG in a number of senior executive roles including Chief Executive Officer of North America, Chief Executive Officer of Europe, member of the Group Executive Board, and Chief Executive Officer of UBS Capital. Pierre started his career with Citibank in Zurich and later in New York.
