Lucy Heintz
Head of Energy Infrastructure
Lucy Heintz is Head of Energy Infrastructure at Actis, General Atlantic’s sustainable infrastructure strategy. She is a member of the Actis Energy Investment Committee, Fund Manager of the Actis Energy funds and serves on the Executive Committee. Since joining the firm in 2001, Lucy has been Head of Energy Infrastructure (since 2021), Fund Manager of Actis Energy 5 (2020), Head of Middle East and Africa (2017-2020) and led renewable energy globally (2012 – 2017). She started her energy career as a project developer within Actis’ first portfolio company, Globeleq. She has chaired or been a member of over 9 energy company boards across her 28 years+ investment experience in growth markets and her direct deal experience covers 17 countries across Latam, EMEA and Asia. Prior to joining CDC, Actis’ predecessor organization, Lucy worked at UBS Warburg in the fixed income division trading emerging market derivatives. Lucy is a board member of the Global Private Capital Association and chairs its Energy Council. She has an MBA (distinction) from INSEAD and an MA from the University of Oxford in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
