Lance Uggla

Lance Uggla is Vice Chairman of General Atlantic and co-founder of BeyondNetZero, General Atlantic’s first climate growth equity fund focused on supporting and scaling high-growth companies that are developing innovative solutions seeking to meet and exceed net zero emissions targets. Lance also serves on the firm’s BeyondNetZero Investment Committee.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2022, Lance was Chairman and CEO at IHS Markit, the global information company, which he founded in 2003, took public in 2014, and led the merger of equals with IHS in 2016. In 2022, he merged IHS Markit with S&P Global at a value of $44 billion. Earlier in his career, he held executive roles at both Toronto Dominion Bank and The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
