Omar Mir

Dr. Omar Mir is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic. In his role, Dr. Mir works closely with the firm’s investment team, advising on opportunities across the global technology sector, with a particular focus on deep technology.

Dr. Mir is an established authority in AI and advanced technology, known for scaling organizations and bridging major innovation hubs across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. He has spent over a decade at World Wide Technology (WWT), where he serves as the International Board Member directing the company’s global growth strategy. Since establishing WWT’s UK presence, he has worked in partnership with corporations including AMD, Google and NVIDIA to help scale the company from inception to multibillion-dollar organic revenue.

Alongside WWT, Dr. Mir holds senior public and academic roles, including Chair of AI and Advanced Technologies for the Sustainable Markets Initiative, established by HM King Charles III; Advisor on AI and Advanced Technology to The King’s Trust International; and Honorary Visiting Professor at Imperial College Business School.
