Nate Powell

Nate Powell is a Managing Director at General Atlantic focused on the Credit and Capital Markets business. He works closely with portfolio companies, investment teams, and capital partners to structure and execute transactions.

Before joining General Atlantic in 2023, Nate was a Partner at Iron Park Capital (IPC) where he co-led the firm’s public credit investment strategies. He was also a member of IPC’s Public Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining IPC, Nate spent five years at River Birch Capital, where he was both the firm’s Head Trader as well as Co-Head of the performing credit strategy in North America. Before River Birch, Nate was a Director at GLG Partners where he was head of the GLG Ore Hill trading desk, co-manager of its CLO platform, and one of the firm’s senior research analysts. Nate began his career at Ore Hill Partners, a long/short credit hedge fund and CLO manager.
