The firm receives its seventh consecutive recognition, and Bill Ford is named an inaugural Founder Champion.

General Atlantic has been named to Inc.’s 2026 Founder-Friendly Investors list, marking the firm’s seventh consecutive year as an honoree. The annual list recognizes private equity, venture capital, and debt firms for their commitment to supporting founder-led companies. 

Inc.’s selection process reflects feedback from entrepreneurs about their experiences working with investors and how their businesses have grown during the partnership. 

Bill Ford, General Atlantic’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has also been named to Inc.’s inaugural Founder Champions list. The recognition honors individual investors for their track records of supporting founder-led businesses and backing entrepreneurs through successful outcomes.
