Bill Ford is General Atlantic’s Chief Executive Officer, with more than 25 years of experience investing in and helping build leading growth companies, including IHS Markit, e*Trade, Priceline, and First Republic Bank. Bill joined General Atlantic in 1991 and became CEO in 2007. He serves as Chairman of the firm’s Management Committee and is a member of the Investment and Portfolio Committees. Under Bill’s leadership, General Atlantic has expanded its global presence, increased its capital base, and deepened its capabilities to identify and partner with high-potential growth companies across multiple business sectors and geographies.

Steve Denning is Chairman of General Atlantic and has been part of the firm since its founding in 1980. As the second investment professional at the firm, Steve helped build General Atlantic with a singular vision of supporting entrepreneurs as they work to grow their businesses. From the outset, his mission has been to partner with strong growth companies led by exceptional management teams to help their organizations become market leaders. For over three decades, Steve has helped General Atlantic become a leading global growth investment firm, today with 13 offices around the world. Steve also served on the Board of Trustees of Stanford University from 2004 to 2017, including as its Chairman from 2012 to 2017. Before joining General Atlantic, Steve worked at McKinsey & Company and served for six years in the U.S. Navy.

Dave Hodgson is Vice Chairman of General Atlantic and has been a member of the investment team for more than 30 years, with extensive experience across the firm’s sectors. Gabriel Caillaux is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in EMEA. He is also a member of the firm’s Management, Investment, and Portfolio Committees. Since joining the firm in 2004, Gabriel has helped expand the firm’s investment focus across the greater European region to include Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He focuses on investments in the Financial Services and Technology sectors. Before joining General Atlantic, Gabriel worked in the telecoms, media & technology division at Merrill Lynch in London and New York.

Martín Escobari is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in Latin America. Martín is Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and also serves on the Management and Portfolio Committees.
Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Martín was a Managing Director at Advent International where he focused on the financial services sector. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CFO of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer that went public on the Bovespa and was sold to Lojas Americanas in 2006. Martin started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Anish Batlaw ×
Anish Batlaw is an Operating Partner at General Atlantic and leads the firm’s human capital effort as part of the firm’s Operations Group. Anish and his team help the firm’s portfolio companies develop best-in-class management teams and provide support on organization design, leadership and employee development, and executive recruiting. Before joining General Atlantic in 2015, Anish worked at TPG Capital as an Operating Partner and Head of Human Capital for Asia. Prior to that, Anish served in various leadership positions at Novartis, including Vice President and Head of Human Resources for Pharmaceuticals for the U.S. and Europe and Head of Corporate Talent Management. Earlier in his career, he worked at Microsoft as General Manager of Human Resources and at PepsiCo in markets including the U.S., India, China, and Vietnam.

Achim Berg is an Operating Partner and part of General Atlantic’s Operations Group, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s EMEA investment team and portfolio companies. He also serves as President of BITKOM, Germany’s Federal Association of Information Technology, Telecommunications, and New Media. Before joining General Atlantic in 2016, Achim was Chief Executive Officer of arvato AG, a subsidiary of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann SE. Earlier in his career, he held a number of senior management positions at Microsoft, including Corporate Vice President of the Windows Phone division, General Manager of Microsoft Germany, and Area Vice President of Microsoft International. Prior to that, Achim served on the Executive Board of T-Com and worked at leading technology companies, including Fujitsu Siemens Computers GmbH, Dell Deutschland GmbH, and Bull AG.

Anton Levy is Co-President, Managing Director and Global Head of General Atlantic’s Technology sector. Anton also serves on the firm’s Management, Investment, and Portfolio Committees. In addition to the companies mentioned below, Anton has led General Atlantic’s investments in leading technology companies such as Alibaba, CrowdStrike, Facebook, Slack, and Snapchat. Anton has been named to the Forbes Midas List of top investors each year from 2014 to 2019. Before joining General Atlantic in 1998, Anton was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley where he focused on the technology sector.

Frank Brown ×
Frank Brown is a Managing Director and General Atlantic’s Chief Chief Risk Officer, leading the firm’s global risk management program. Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer for nine years. Before joining General Atlantic in 2011, Frank served as Dean of INSEAD, a leading international business school, from 2006 to 2011. Under his leadership, the school increased participation of female students in the M.B.A. program by more than 50%, and established the Abu Dhabi campus, the Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, and the Social Innovation Centre. Prior to INSEAD, Frank had a distinguished 26-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including leading its $3.5 billion Advisory Services practice. Frank is the author of The Global Business Leader: Practical Advice for Success in a Transcultural Marketplace, and is a frequent speaker on leadership topics.

Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2011, Chris was an Analyst and Associate at Warburg Pincus in London for four years where he concentrated on investments in the media, technology, and business services sectors. Before Warburg Pincus, Chris was an Associate at The Boston Consulting Group in London where he worked on a range of media, technology, and financial services projects.

Cory A. Eaves is an Operating Partner and part of General Atlantic’s Operations Group, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies with a focus on technology, operations, and digital transformation. Before joining General Atlantic in 2009, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Information Officer at Misys plc. Earlier in his career, Cory also served as Chief Technology Officer of SSA Global, one of the world’s largest enterprise software providers and a former General Atlantic portfolio company.

Pamela Fang is a Managing Director and Head of Asia Capital Partnering for General Atlantic. Before joining General Atlantic in 2017, Pamela served as Director and Head of the Investor Development Group in Asia at Actis. In this role, she was responsible for fundraising and investor relations activities in the region. Prior to that, she led global business development and fundraising at CDIB Capital International and worked at GE Capital as a senior investment lead, focused on direct private equity investments. In addition to over ten years of private equity experience, Pamela held various senior roles focused on business development, mergers and acquisitions, debt structuring, and sales at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital.
