Bill Ford is General Atlantic’s Chief Executive Officer, with more than 25 years of experience investing in and helping build leading growth companies, including IHS Markit, e*Trade, Priceline, and First Republic Bank. Bill joined General Atlantic in 1991 and became CEO in 2007. He serves as Chairman of the firm’s Management Committee and is a member of the Investment and Portfolio Committees. Under Bill’s leadership, General Atlantic has expanded its global presence, increased its capital base, and deepened its capabilities to identify and partner with high-potential growth companies across multiple business sectors and geographies.

Dave Hodgson is Vice Chairman of General Atlantic and has been a member of the investment team for more than 30 years, with extensive experience across the firm’s sectors. After joining General Atlantic as its third investment professional in 1982, he helped build the firm with a singular vision of supporting entrepreneurs as they work to grow their businesses. From the outset, Dave’s mission has been to partner with strong growth companies led by exceptional management teams to help their organizations become market leaders.

Martín Escobari is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in Latin America. Martín is Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and also serves on the Management and Portfolio Committees.
Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Martín was a Managing Director at Advent International where he focused on the financial services sector. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CFO of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer that went public on the Bovespa and was sold to Lojas Americanas in 2006. Martin started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Anton Levy is Co-President, Managing Director and Global Head of General Atlantic’s Technology sector. Anton also serves on the firm’s Management, Investment, and Portfolio Committees. In addition to the companies mentioned below, Anton has led General Atlantic’s investments in leading technology companies such as Alibaba, CrowdStrike, Facebook, Slack, and Snapchat. Anton has been named to the Forbes Midas List of top investors each year from 2014 to 2020. Before joining General Atlantic in 1998, Anton was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley where he focused on the technology sector.

Anish Batlaw is an Operating Partner at General Atlantic and leads the firm’s Human Capital efforts (people, pay, and performance) in support of its global portfolio companies. His responsibilities include development of General Atlantic’s talent network, assessment and development of management teams, executive compensation, governance structures, and providing strategic Human Capital counsel to the firm and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2015, Anish worked at TPG Capital as an Operating Partner and Head of Human Capital for Asia. Prior to TPG, he was with Novartis in various leadership positions, including VP & Head of HR for Pharmaceuticals, U.S., and Europe, and as Head of Corporate Talent Management. He also worked at Microsoft as General Manager of HR in Redmond, Washington. Early in his career, Anish worked at PepsiCo, in various markets such as the U.S., India, China, and Vietnam.

Matthew Bonanno is a Managing Director at General Atlantic focused on the firm’s Capital Solutions effort. Before joining General Atlantic in 2020, Matthew was a Partner at Iron Park Capital Partners. Prior to that, he spent nearly 10 years at York Capital Management, where he served as a Partner, Co-Head of North American Credit and Portfolio Manager. Matthew has also previously held roles at The Blackstone Group, News Corporation, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs.

Frank Brown is a Managing Director and General Atlantic’s Chief Risk Officer, leading the firm’s global risk management program. Prior to that, he served as Chief Operating Officer for nine years. Before joining General Atlantic in 2011, Frank served as Dean of INSEAD, a leading international business school, from 2006 to 2011. Under his leadership, the school increased participation of female students in the M.B.A. program by more than 50%, and established the Abu Dhabi campus, the Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, and the Social Innovation Centre. Prior to INSEAD, Frank had a distinguished 26-year career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, including leading its $3.5 billion Advisory Services practice. Frank is the author of The Global Business Leader: Practical Advice for Success in a Transcultural Marketplace, and is a frequent speaker on leadership topics.

David Buckley is an Operating Partner and leads General Atlantic’s Insights Group, which integrates market research, data science, and revenue acceleration efforts across the firm’s global investment program at every stage in the investment lifecycle. David and his team work closely with portfolio company executive teams to support key digital marketing, pricing optimization, and sales effectiveness initiatives, and by providing access to the GA Network. Before joining General Atlantic in 2011, David worked at McKinsey & Company where he served clients in the High Tech, Private Equity, and Industrial sectors as a member of the Marketing and Sales practice. Previously, he served as a Captain in the United States Army.

Alex Crisses is a Managing Director at General Atlantic and focuses on investments in the firm’s Technology sector. Alex leads the firm’s thematic sourcing program and co-heads its Emerging Growth Initiative. Before joining General Atlantic in 2016, Alex was a Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners where he focused on Software and Internet investments globally. Earlier in his career, Alex worked in the Investment Banking division at Credit Suisse where he focused on global energy and power.

Earlier in his career, Cory also served as Chief Technology Officer of SSA Global, one of the world’s largest enterprise software providers and a former General Atlantic portfolio company.

Aaron Goldman is a Managing Director and Co-Head of General Atlantic’s Financial Services sector with a particular focus on investments in financial technology. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2007, Aaron was part of the growth equity arm of the Fremont Group in San Francisco where he made several investments in the Internet, communications, and healthcare sectors. While at the Fremont Group, he served as President and Chief Financial Officer of LPL Technologies, a growth stage company focused on the early diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Prior to that, Aaron was an Analyst in Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette’s Leveraged Finance group.

Michael Gosk is a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of General Atlantic, with principal responsibility for the firm’s finance, accounting, and investor reporting operations. He also oversees the firm’s global IT function. Prior to joining General Atlantic in 2019, Michael spent over a decade with General Electric in a series of financial leadership roles, most recently serving as Vice President and Chief Tax Officer. Before his time at GE, Mr. Gosk was a partner at global law firm, McDermott Will & Emery, and a partner at KPMG.

Justin Kotzin is an Operating Partner and Head of Capital Markets at General Atlantic. He is also part of General Atlantic’s Operations Group, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s investment team and portfolio companies. Before joining General Atlantic in 2018, he worked at Morgan Stanley, most recently serving as Managing Director in the Leveraged & Acquisition Finance Syndicate group. In this role, he executed high yield and leveraged loan transactions across various sectors. Prior to that, he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, most recently serving as Vice President in the Leveraged Finance Capital Markets group.

Chris Lanning is a Managing Director and General Counsel at General Atlantic, focusing on structuring leveraged financings, equity investments, and liquidity transactions for the firm’s global investments. Before joining General Atlantic in 2000, Chris was a Senior Associate in Corporate Finance at the Virginia-based law firm Hunton & Williams where he specialized in private equity and mergers and acquisition transactions. Before that, he was an Associate on the Corporate team at the New York law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
