Martín Escobari is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in Latin America. Martín is Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee and also serves on the Management and Portfolio Committees.
Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Martín was a Managing Director at Advent International where he focused on the financial services sector. Prior to that, he was Co-Founder and CFO of Submarino.com, a leading Brazilian online retailer that went public on the Bovespa and was sold to Lojas Americanas in 2006. Martin started his career as a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Pedro Parente is Chairman of Brazil at General Atlantic and works closely with the Latin American investment team to support its portfolio companies in the country to scale and grow both regionally and internationally.
Pedro was formerly the Chairman and CEO of a leading food company, BRF. Prior to his tenure at BRF, Pedro Parente served as CEO or in other leadership roles at organizations including Petrobras, PRADA Financial Advisory Group, Bunge Brasil and Group RBS. Before his business career, Mr. Parente held several leadership roles in the Brazilian government, including Minister of Planning, Energy and Mining, and Chief of Staff during President Fernando Henrique Cardoso’s term.Pedro has been honored with both civil and military national decorations from Brazil.

Frederico Carvalho is an Operating Principal and part of General Atlantic’s Operations Group where he provides strategic support and financial expertise to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies with a focus on the Latin America region. Before joining General Atlantic in 2012, Fred served as Chief Operating Officer of the Merchant Banking division at BTG Pactual Group. Previously, he was a Partner in Deloitte’s Transaction Services group in São Paulo, leading deal advisory, corporate reorganization, and diligence services for major private equity investors and strategic clients in Brazil.

During his time at Advent, he served on the boards of a number of investments, and served as Interim CFO of Atmosfera.

Conrado Engel is a Senior Advisor at General Atlantic, providing strategic support and advice to the firm’s investment teams and portfolio companies in Latin America. Before joining General Atlantic in 2020, he served as Senior Executive Vice President at Banco Santander Brasil, where he oversaw the Retail and Wealth Management & Specialized Businesses, including Auto Joint Ventures. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors and Risk and Compliance Committee at Banco Santander. Prior to this, Conrado held several senior roles at HSBC, including CEO of HSBC Brasil and Retail Director for HSBC Asia Pacific. He also previously served as CEO at Financeira Losango and in senior positions at Banco Nacional-Unibanco. Conrado began his career at Citibank S.A.
